Bieke Campos is a Mexican American artist from the East Side of Austin, TX. His paintings are influenced by his environment, specifically his experiences with poverty in East Austin. Bieke’s art is rooted in his lived experience growing up in HACA affordable housing and navigating over 15 years of low-income living. Drawing from personal experience and the shared struggles of East Austin families and communities, his oil paintings confront poverty with honesty while illuminating resilience, history, and hope.
